The very first time I met my father-in-law I walked in their house and he was coughing & sniffling and he immediately said "let me tell you a story":
"Once there was a lion, the King of the Jungle who was down at the watering hole. He went up to the hippo and said "Hippo, you are big & strong, why aren't YOU the king of the Jungle?" and the hippo said "beats me!"
Then the lion came upon the Rhino and he said "Rhino, you are big & strong, why aren't YOU the King of the Jungle like I am?" and the Rhino said "I dont know, good question"
Not too long later the lion ran into a elephant and he said "Elephant, you are much bigger than me, why aren't YOU the King of the Jungle like me?" and the elephant said "who knows?"
At this point the lion is feeling mighty confident in himself, after all he is the KING OF THE JUNGLE, when he comes across a little tiny mouse, whose eyes were red and puffy and he was sniffling and he asks the mouse "Little mouse, you are much smaller than me and I am mighty and strong. But why aren't YOU the King of the Jungle" and the mouse sniffled his nose and said
"I've Been Sick!"
I loved my father-in-law from that second on, he can always put a smile on my face!
But unfortunately like the little mouse, "I've been sick!" and its no fun I tell ya. Especially during the challenge, today has really been a "challenge", but I am determined to plow through. The exercise, water and fruits and vegetables will be a struggle but I will do it.
I know I am NOT the only one who has been sick during this challenge, so I just want to say
to all of you who have had sick days but made it through!
Now please excuse me while I blow my nose and resume my spot on the couch cuddled up with my blanket and sick family.
